Halters around our place were continually walking off, had buckles or snaps that were so rusty that they were no longer workable, were the wrong size for the head that we were trying to fit, or just flat broke when a young inexperienced horse or very old stubborn, spoiled rotten broodmare (we have one of these) pulled back on them, so we decided to try rope halters. We bought a few halters and tried them out, we loved them! We soon started making them ourselves and offer a satisfaction guarantee.
Rope Halter Advantages:
- Average size halter will fit most horses.
- No metal buckles or snaps to rust.
- Won't break when a horse pulls back, if attached properly (we have personally tested this with a very experienced halter breaker).
- The stealth 1/4 gauge halter fits easily in your pocket to sneak up on unsuspecting, hard to catch horses.
- If halter stretches out of shape or gets dirty, just throw it in the washing machine.
- Our Stallion respects these halters without the need of a stud chain (a quick tug on the lead rope gets his attention).
All of our halters are now tied with double over-hand knots and under chin FIADOR knots. These knots will slide to make slight size adjustments, but only before the halter has been used and the knots have tightened.

Our Rope Goat Halters
Because we have a Nubian milk goat, we thought we would try our hand at making goat halters and were very pleased with the results. Much safer than dog collars or neck chains.
